The conference was sponsored by the China Foundry Association, hosted by the People's Government of Beilun District of Ningbo City, the Die Casting Branch of the China Foundry Association and the Ningbo Foundry Industry Association. Relevant leaders of Ningbo Municipal Government and industry associations, senior executives of leading enterprises in die casting industry, outstanding entrepreneurs, well-known experts and scholars in the industry, as well as more than 700 die casting elites from home and abroad, gathered together to participate in this industry feast belonging to die casting people.
The theme forum was chaired by Ms. Fan Qi, Executive Vice President of China Foundry Association, and Mr. Shen Lingen. Pan Fusheng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Chongqing University, has brought us a report entitled "High Performance Cast Magnesium Alloys and Some Advanced Manufacturing Technologies". Fang Jin, deputy secretary-general of the China Development Research Foundation and researcher of the Development Research Center of the State Council, delivered a speech entitled "Economic Impact of Trade War". Dong Yang, Executive Vice President of China Automobile Industry Association, has brought us a report entitled Development Trend of Automobile Industry. Finally, Alexander Mark, Director of Die Casting Solutions from Fulai, Germany, explained the development of Die Casting Industry under the wave of electric vehicles from the new situation. At the conference, Academician Pan Fusheng introduced some high-performance cast magnesium alloys and some advanced manufacturing technologies developed in recent years, focusing on the new cast magnesium alloys developed by Chongqing University and related preparation and processing technologies. New low-cost cast magnesium alloys and new high-strength cast magnesium rare earth alloys have excellent properties; solventless purification technology developed can significantly reduce the content of impurity iron in cast magnesium alloys; the development of anti-gravity direction iron-based material filtration technology can reduce the cost of filters while improving the life of filters. The liquid phase cladding alloying technology developed can effectively improve the yield of active elements such as yttrium and strontium, and the stability of alloy composition is significantly improved. The new grain refiner developed can effectively refine the grain of casting alloy. The new changes of cast magnesium alloy grades in national and international standards are also introduced.
